LBL Trail Run Lodging & Dining Information

Area Info:
Grand Rivers, the Village Between the Lakes, welcomes you to the playground of Western Kentucky. You'll find lodging, restaurants and shopping, history and lots of friendly people. Grand Rivers is the gateway to the northern entrance to the Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area (LBL), and Kentucky Lake and Lake Barkley, the largest bodies of fresh water between the Great Lakes and the Gulf.

Check out Variety! a first-class 'Branson style' show located in the new Badgett Playhouse in downtown Grand Rivers.
More information can be found at grandrivers.com .

Land Between The Lakes (LBL): As a designated national recreation area under the management of the USDA Forest Service, LBL is maintained for the public's enjoyment and safety, offering all the outdoor recreation "basics"; with some unique opportunities for environmental education and historic interpretation.
Nestled in western Kentucky and Tennessee, LBL hosts an average of two million visitors each year who come from all over the nation and more than 30 foreign countries. Visit the Elk and Bison viewing areas, watch for over 250 bald eagles, and the ever present deer and wildlife. With more than 170,000 acres and 300 miles of undeveloped shoreline, you'll discover a wide range of opportunities in LBL to create memories that will last a lifetime.
You owe it to yourself to check out this one-of-a-kind place, or better yet, bring the family. You'll be glad you did.
More information can be found at lbl.org .

Area Lodging:
Runners participating in the Grand Rivers/LBL trail run should take the opportunity to take a mini-vacation. Grand Rivers, KY is a very small town, but boasts two top notch resorts. The one and two bedroom condos sell out quickly as you can imagine. Why not get a group together and rent a three or four bedroom condo? Lots and lots of room for a very reasonable price by the time you divide it a bit.

Green Turtle Bay Resort is the premier marina resort on Kentucky and Barkley Lakes in Western Kentucky.
GTB resort overlooks beautiful Lake Barkley on the eastern edge of the picturesque little village of Grand Rivers.
GTB is the co- host resort; and is offering discounted rates for a one, two, three, or four bedroom condo.
Be sure to mention participation in the Grand Rivers/LBL trail run.

Lighthouse Landing Resort, located on the Kentucky Lake shoreline, is a co-host resort and another wonderful choice for lodging and is also offering special rates for event runners. This resort always sells out first

All gravel roads generally end up at a site for camping, including an outdoor toilet, picnic tables, and fire pits. The North Welcome Station is located only 4 miles or so from Grand Rivers. The friendly people there can give you maps and information.
